David Renshaw was born in Southport in 1973 and developed a passion for painting from a young age. He studied graphic design after school and began painting commissions, primarily using watercolours and pencil sketches. In 2005, he dedicated himself to painting as a career, working from his studio in Southport. His artwork is known for its warmth, emotion, and story, reflecting themes of romance, nostalgia, and family history.
